A mysterious news of birth of a “Highly unusual hybrid” between a zebra and donkey has dispersed in the social media two days ago by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (SWT) Organization, who works to rescue and rehabilitate animals in Kenya.

As per the SWT, in May last year, a vagrant zebra ventured out of the Tsavo East National Park and entered into the community boarder. Then she lodged as a honorary member of a local woman’s cattle herd for many weeks. After this incident took place, SWT was called to rehabilitate the wild animal and they perform this task by transporting the zebra to the Kenze anti-poaching team’s base in Chyulu National Park. So, this amiable zebra settled there with the close eye of anti-poaching team before she settled in to her new home.

Earlier this year, while zebra is being relocating to the new home, fence maintenance team of the national park caught a glimpse of the zebra with a kid of a horse by her side. Then after several weeks later, team realized that little foal has a suspiciously light on stripes and overwhelmingly tawny in color. At first they had thought that “it had just been wallowing in the mud bath”.

However, this birth is an unusual hybrid between a Zeebra and a donkey before she is being relocated to her new home. According SWT, the zonkey should be able to spend a normal life but as a mule, But, it won’t be able to successfully breed once it reaches maturity. Thus, the news of this glorious birth of the zonkey became a viral in the social media these days.
